We have a collection of copy photographs showing the illustrated and photographic history of various subjects as shown on the main photograph. There are over 20,000 images available. Due to the archive size it is not possible to supply lists of subjects.

These are sent out "on approval" in lots of about 30 photographs at a time. You go through them and pay for any you want to keep, return the rest with payment + the cost of the postage to be sent to you. You also pay for the photographs to be sent back to us by Recordered Delivery.

To start this service, we ask for a deposit of £15.00 (re-fundable when finished) made payable to :

When you send your deposit, say which Collection/Regiments you are interested in. We will then continue to send to you on a regular basis as you require, once a week, once a month or as quick as you can return the ones you do not want. You will need to fill out & return the Copyright Declaration Form which will be sent to you when we receive your deposit.

This service is only for the sale of photographic material for the customer’s own personal use and research. Any use of this material supplied for the purpose of Publishing by or as a result of the customer buying these images from us is not allowed and legal action will be taken should this accrue. Records are kept of all images purchased by each customer. It is however possible to purchase the rights to reproduce images from this collection for a small fee.
